back to work 11/30/2009

My work moved to their new location in Exton. The mall is literally right behind us which excites me very much. We're located on Lincoln Highway although we're not quite sure what the new address is which I find funny for some reason.

Here's to a long weekend!

The boss let me leave early today, and tomorrow and Friday I have off! yay!

It's weird, my immediate family is scattered for Thanksgiving this year. My mom is in North Carolina with her parents and sister and her family. My sister and dad are going to my dad's sisters, and I'm celebrating with Matt and his family.
whatev.

Kate, brit, kim and I saw New Moon on Sunday afternoon. I went in with low expectations, afterall I wasn’t thrilled with the first movie. Why did I go you ask? Well, it just comes down to I’m in love with the books. The movies don’t compare, but since Summit is making all 4 books of the series into films I want to see how they go about it.

The second movie had more of a budget and a different director. Taylor Lautner put on 26 pounds of muscle which was pretty nice to see when he had his shirt off. The special effects were better, and the music selection as well.

I still think Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart can’t act for crap tho. He really lets me down as “Edward”.

Now lets talk about the actual movie theater. It was jam-packed with I’m pretty sure all women. Brats for kids that would shut  their snouts throughout the ENTIRE movie. I was about to drop kick some kids in the face. I’ve never been  in an audience were there’s been so many rude kids (and their parents were just as bad!!) My goodness, if I ever behaved like that in front of my parents I would have been grounded and they would have taken me home. It was unbelievable.

After the movie, I bought sushi for all of us and we went back to my house and ate it and talked about movies and books and laughed a lot. It was a really fun afternoon/ evening.

flu 11/19/2009

Thursday night last week I wasn't feeling well. I thought I'd just need a good night's sleep and I'd be good as new. But I woke up Friday, and I called out of work and slept all day. Saturday I was even worse. Matt moved into his new apartment and I couldn't even help out! I felt so bad, I wanted to help, but I was so sick. I ended up having the flu. It was horrible.

An entire week later, I'm sooo much better, but still a little wiped out. Being sick is exhausting.
After work this week, I've been helping Matt get settled in. Yesterday I bought him a ton of stuff that he still needed. Now the big thing he needs is blinds and curtains for his windows. Oh yeah, and a couch. Hah Even tho it's been fun trying to snuggle on a love seat ;)

What a strange phenomena.

Happy November 11/06/2009

It's been a busy work week.

It's getting darker out earlier in the day, the trees are losing their leaves and it makes me unhappy. I was totally loving all the colors surrounding me on my way to work (I drive through an arboretum.) ::sigh::

Halloween was fun, Matt and I went to a couple of parties- I was a cute ladybug, and he was a skeleton. :) We watched I Am Legend, and it made me cry. For real. It was just because of the dog.
On Friday before Halloween, I wore my ladybug antennae at work. No body else dressed up! And I only had on a headband! Weak. I was disappointed, but everyone seemed to like that I was somewhat in the spirit. haha

Highlight of my week:
Going outside with a pile of blankets, laying on the trampoline with Matty and looking at the stars. :) It was so romantic.

Dear High Street Caffe,

Concerning your voodoo Crawfish appetizer:

Yesterday was Matt's birthday. I took him to his restaurant of choice which was The High Street Caffe. It was definitely an experience. We ordered this crawfish appetizer, that was so incredibly hot, I couldn't eat more than 3 pieces & Matt was eating whole forkfuls that were making him sweat. I wish I captured his facial expressions when the hottness hit him because they were PRICELESS. We down a ton of water and ate two loaves of bread, lathered our tongues with the sour cream the dish came with and we were still hurting. By the time our meals came we both ate about 5 bites and decided we couldn't eat anymore. We just laughed. We were pathetic, but it was fun. We took our meals to-go, and I know I'll be enjoying the rest of mine for lunch this afternoon.

After dinner, we stopped at my house so my family could give him his present, and then went back to his house so he could play his new video game I got him, Forza3. His family made him a birthday cake, so we had tiny pieces of that, and then went off to play the new game. It was a lot of fun.
All in all, a good night with fun had by all. :)

Great site I found that you can check for your computer's vulnerabilities. Most likely you have them, it will find them and give you a solution. Plus it's free! No reason not to do it.
