Two nights ago Matt and I came back to my house after eating dinner at Felini's, and there was a cat in my yard. As we were going inside, I let my dogs out. Now usually if there's a cat in my yard and we let the dogs out the cat runs away.

Not this time however.

The cat stayed in our yard and continued on in trying to fight our dogs. Ugh what a stupid cat. Our dogs were freaking out. The cat wouldn't effing leave. I tried to open the back gate so it would leave and the thing.

The cat latched onto my leg and straight up bit me. I mean chomped down. Agh- I could have dropped kick that thing; I was so mad.

Long story short, we don't know who's cat it is, if it's shots are up to date and all that. So I had to go to the hospital the next day and get rabie shots. And I have to go back 4 or 5 more times for more shots.

I'm hungry.

&&
I have a gazillion things to do this week. On top of 30 hours of work.
Aye

======

I went to WaWa for lunch, and there was a bunch of creepy old men noticeably checking me out. It was gross. I had to stare in one spot to avoid making eye contact with any of them. I was like w"tf! put those eyes somewhere else. Get your food, aren't you here for lunch anyway?" eesh.

Take some time this weekend to remember.

War is a very real thing.

If you feel free or safe tonight, know that it has come and continues to come at the highest cost.

Soldiers are people - they are us - and many have given their lives for our freedom and security.

This is not about politics. This is about people.

The ones that live, can we even imagine what they've experienced, what they've seen and felt and lost?

What does it mean to "go back to normal"?

How do they recover? How do they "let it go"?

This weekend, let's do a better than "i don't have to go to work on Monday". Let's look beyond "Oh cool, a three-day weekend."

Take some time to consider the soldiers. The people.

Sons and daughters, brothers and husbands. Someone's father. Someone's uncle. Cousin. Neighbor. Friend.
They are the fallen and the fighting and the ones forever trying to make sense of "home".

They are missed by millions.

Have a conversation. Say "thank you". Ask a question.

The day is meant for remembering. Not just the deaths but the lives and the living.

We live in a day with more distractions than ever before. More excuses. We make an enormous mistake if we fail to honor these people, if we fail to pause to consider and be grateful and be kind.

Take some time this weekend to remember. Remember someone you've lost. Remember all the different soldiers. Remember the things that matter and the things that are true.

Peace to you.

Saw T4 last night-- it was awesome!!! Go see it!

-----

Yesterday before I went to work my sister and I went for a bike ride and I was really obnoxious getting her up out of bed. I was ornery & in a quirky mood and kate wanted to kill me. It was funny and actually quite enjoyable. We went to the chiropractor and then went to state street to see Drew at Earth & State, but he wasn't there.

There's a new Gilmore Girl's season coming out next month!! WOO! I'm glad because I wasn't happy with how they were just pulled off the air and not able to finish up properly.

The new Terminator movie is coming out this weekend, so we're on a terminator trilogy watching tour for a few days to lead up to go see the new movie. wow- what a horribly written sentence. I don't even care. I'm so tired.

Why am I tired you ask? I started work this week!!! And my body is not used to it. But it's a good thing. I feel more accomplished.

Random rant... I hope Adam doesn't win American Idol. He's so cocky & the screaming in every single one of his songs got old. Very fast. I don't personally like his style/ performance/voice. Soooo yeah.

I went to Applebee's with Lorraine today. It was awesome, I never see her much anymore and it was great to catch up and pray with her for a while. :)

I had to come home and clean the house a little bit, but then Matt and I went to Laura's graduation party. It was fun, there was good food, and great company. Too bad we didn't get to see the grad that much tho. haha, we all understood tho, she had to answer to like 932895489547 people. And we've all missed since she's been in Texas the past few months. sigh.

Now, I think we're just hanging in for the night and watching a movie. booyah

I love riding my bicycle. I need to drop it off at the bike shop tomorrow though and get new tires put on it. I just pumped air into them a few days ago, and my front tire is leaking... LAME!

I went to the gym again last night. And I didn't pass out (AGAIN)! Man, I'm on a roll!
