I went fishing for the first time today in about 10 years. It was awesome. We didn't catch anything though. But a good time was had by all. XD
Afterward, we had sushi for lunch-- so we had the last laugh.
I got my car. She's a beauty.
This week has been crazy.
I'm exhausted. I've been awake for a very long time.
The computer I used for work does not want to work right now. alksdjf
A friend of mine said this and I thought it was hilarious:
"Laughter is a gift from God. When we refuse to accept it, it makes Him want to take it back. Like the unicorns."
Hopefully tomorrow I'll be getting my car! :) Matty found an '86 Toyota Camry. It has 126,000 miles on it, and it's in perfect condition, minus the air conditioner not working. I'll get that fixed though. Matt thinks it just needs recharging.
I really like it, it's cute :) Once I have it, I'll post a photo.
Last friday, I was supposed to see Mike Birbiglia in NYC. Long story short, we got lost and were on the road for 4 hours, and missed the show.
This past Friday night, I was going into Philadelphia to see La Sylphide. I gave myself plenty of time to get to the train station... on the way there I hydoplaned, and starting sobbing afterward (I'm not the same driving ever since my accident) I didn't crash or anything.. I recovered successfully but was just freaking out. Anyway I missed my train, I was there, running towards them and they pulled away with just enough force that I couldn't get it. I drove to the next station to try and get it, and missed that train too.
My sister was at a graduation, and my mom was still at work, I couldn't drive myself into the city (like I said I was freaking out, it just wasn't happening). Luckily I have the most amazing boyfriend in the world, and he drove me in. We hit a ton of traffic on 95 bc ppl were going to the beach. I got there late, but luckily I only had to wait 10 mins to be able to sit in my actual seat. I was worried I wouldn't have been able to sit with Kim. That would have sucked. Ugh. Anyway, it did end up working out. The show was wonderful and beautiful. I really enjoyed it. Kim and I hung out for about an hour afterward, then we RAN to the train station to have me almost miss the train. again. But I made it, so it's all good.
Matt's fam has a new puppy! She's adorable. We love her already.
I ordered a new shirt from TWLOHA and a pair of shoes and a shirt from Toms Shoes. I can't wait til they get here!!! ;lakjdf
I was listening to a sermon online by Ed Dobson while I was at work
It hit home with me.
So I'm going to share just a couple bits from it:
"what does it mean to be a witness?
it means that i am learning and struggling to walk in the way of JesusSo that the truth of Jesus would be embodied in my life.So that out of my life would flow the life of Jesus himself."
Truth is not an idea.
Truth is a person.
And that person is Jesus Christ.
Kate and I went for a long bike ride this morning. It was nice and relaxing. I showed her where Matt is going to be moving, then came home and started getting ready for work.
I printed over a hundred pictures of Matt and me and started putting them in photo albums and also scrap booking some of them. :) It's so much fun. Plus, it's one of my many creative outlets that I need to use that help me through life. ha
Matt's dad got a new puppy last night so hopefully after work today I can go see her!
