God will accept a broken heart, but he must have all the pieces. As he stitches those pieces back together, the moisture of tears softens and makes flexible his strong thread of healing in our lives. Big wet tears are part of the rich human experience. The people who weep unashamed are the same ones who live and love with their whole heart and soul. Those who mourn are those who have allowed themselves to feel real feelings because they care about other people.

          Whatever problems we have, none are too personal to take to Jesus. He might offer us instant healing or inspiration to try a different approach or treatment to our health problems. We may indeed have to libe with them for a long time... but he offers hope of healing in every aspect of our lives.

It was incredible last night to have a bunch of us talk about this past year and getting to know Dave and telling him how much he means to us and reminding him how much we'll miss him while he's in Iraq. A lot of us cried and at the end we laid hands on him and prayed over him. It was powerful and amazing- very touching. I love these people very much. The bond between believers, having that love of Christ, is like no other. It's truly a blessing. I really can't express how much these people mean to me.

Take a moment to remember what happened 7 years ago today.

Faith is a powerful source. It changes things. It provides a way when there is no way, an answer when there is no answer. It turns "no" into "yes". Faith touches God. It is a gift of the Spirit and a sign to unbelievers. We pray for faith when we have none, and we keep asking until God answers.

When you are in difficult circumstances or when you doubt God, look to Jesus.

He is closer than the air you breathe.
